Activities

There is more to learning a language than just attending class. You also need to experience the culture. At Expressando, you will learn to speak Spanish through total immersion in the Spanish culture, customs and lifestyle. Learning at Expressando will be a fantastic experience!

Activities included in the price

At Expressando we offer three weekly activities that are included in the tuition:

• Touring sites throughout the city
• A tapas night out in Barcelona
• Cultural excursion

Once a week we will embark on a tour of the city by visiting old and modern neighborhoods throughout Barcelona. It is a cultural experience taking you through the city’s history.

Once a week there is an activity in our own social club. Apart from being an excellent way of making friends, you can also practice what you have learnt in a relaxing environment while savoring tapas in a typical Barcelona bar (tapas night out).

Once a week we will embark on a cultural experience that can include a visit to a museum, cinema, traditional festivals, lectures, etc. This excursion is conducted completely in Spanish and is included in the tuition of all Expressando participants (cultural excursion).

The following is an example of some extra activities:

• Enjoy a concert & take a tour of the Palau de la Música
• Visit the Picasso Museum & have a coffee in the fashionable Born district
• Cultural tour of the city by bike
• Visit the Pueblo Español
• Flamenco night out
• Excursions in a hot air balloon, by helicopter, by boat or on horseback
• Learn or play golf, tennis (all year round), beach volleyball (summer only)
• Go sailing (lessons or excursions)
• Skiing in the Pyrenees (winter only)
• Weekend excursions: Dalí Museum in Figueras, Montserrat, Port Aventura theme park, medieval Catalan villages, towns and beaches on the Costa Brava, just to name a few.
